The first thing I saw was that they are smoking on an actual offset smoker from Primitive Pits with real wood. Everything from outside to in is fun and feels like a futuristic, but class bbq joint with the greenhouse ceilings. The food, is served by weight for the most part and cut directly in front of you as you order. The brisket is moist, juicy and flavored perfectly. Everything is good from the house made sausage to the smoked wings, but they have the best cooked ribs I have had outside of Texas, if not anywhere.
Oh my! Always satisfied when I come here. A little chilly today outside so decided to come in for some Texas chili. It was fantastic added scallions a bit of fried onion and a little queso and the heat from the chili was perfect. Not to hot but the perfect spices. Picked up a brisket sandwich to take home for dinner. We’re looking forward to coming back!
FOOD IS EXCEPTIONAL & ATMOSPHERE IS A GREAT VIBE!!! I had the PULLED PORK SANDWICH added a piece of cheese & xtra BBQ sauce.. MAC N CHEESE WAS VERY GOOD TOO. I only gave service a 4 because my order was wrong & i had to drive back BUT managment was very hospitable & made it right and let me try the Mac n Cheese. WILL GO BACK TO DINE IN. TY
Golden Boy BBQ has quickly become a favorite of mine! I've been twice now, and both experiences were fantastic. The pulled pork is truly a "chef's kiss" moment – perfectly tender and flavorful. And don't even get me started on the ribs; they're messy, but absolutely worth every finger-licking bite. Beyond the main attractions, their salads are surprisingly delicious, and I can't get enough of their spicy pickles. The chicken is also incredibly tasty, proving that everything on their menu is a winner. The location is super convenient for me since I work nearby, so I'll definitely be stopping by more often to explore the rest of their menu. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, with comfortable indoor seating and a lovely outdoor area that has a fantastic vibe. To top it all off, the staff are incredibly friendly and kind, making each visit even more enjoyable. Plus, if you somehow don't finish your meal, it heats up perfectly the next day! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
Best bbq I've ever had. My boyfriend who lived in Texas also agrees! Their brisket is literally unreal!! Fries are very crispy. Love their Texas red sauce, sooo good. Huge menu, can't wait to try more. Great service & kind staff. The outdoor area is so cute & dog friendly.
Super easy bbq place, small but excellent menu. Counter service with a large amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Heating lamps make the outdoor space super cozy. Great service, very friendly and attentive staff made the experience even better. Wine and beer selection is perfect, spot on for many tastes. The lamp chops are perfectly cooked. And unique to a bbq place, definitely order them. They are by the piece which is nice to share. Elites and tater tot casserole were so delicious. Wings 12/10 Come check out this new place!
Every time I go, the BBQ is even better! Brisket and smoked sausage links for the win! Smash burger was also a pleasant surprise, so good. And gotta love waffle fries! Very cool atmosphere too, love the glass atrium area. Their bar and outdoor space are also lovely. My only suggestion would be to serve the broccoli salad raw, otherwise delicious. Glad to have this spot in Elmhurst, Golden Boy is doing some solid BBQ
